The lights are on
Project Toy Box from Disney is apparently about to become an official game. Press outlets are receiving invitations to an event on January 15 for the unveiling of Disney Infinity.
As the name implies, the scope of the project is large; previous reports have pointed to crossovers between Pixar and Disney (and maybe Star Wars?), and the integration of collectible toys (similar to Skylanders).
Disney isn't giving out many details at this point. According to the event invitation, Disney's John Lasseter and John Pleasants will be there, so you can expect to learn much more about this ambitious project on January 15.

Look, this is all well and good, but here's what I want from Disney/LucasArts: A HD Remake of Secret Weapons over Normandy.
If it is a toy story game my childhood will be complete
Tryin to get in on that Skylanders money
don't give two craps about this, but i will take a crap sometime after writing this, so that at least has to count for something.
Everyone seems to think that Disney will kill Star Wars. Not really, seeing as how Star Wars has been a HUGE part of Disney since the late 80's.
I wonder if this is what Avalanche has been up to? The developers behind underrated Disney games like Toy Story 3, Cars 2, and Chicken Little: Ace in Action (the closest thing to Ratchet & Clank that ever hit the Wii). They're easily Disney Interactive's best studio at the moment - for all the ambition Junction Point has, they sure don't know how to focus on the right stuff and polish their games up. Avalanche needs to do something original and ambitious too - I'm hoping this is it.
All of Disney's studios need to do original, ambitious games. More efforts like Epic Mickey, way, way less movie tie-ins please.
Woody meets Mickey meets Luke Skywalker meets Spiderman. How could oyu go wrong?
A Pixar based game would be amazing. Imagine, a Pixar game and a Ghibl game in the same year.
hmm. interesting.
Okay, I'm intrigued. I'm very interested to hear more about this.
Freakin sweet.
Neat.
