The lights are on
Capcom has launched a new update to RE 6 that makes changes to the game's camera, co-op, and modes. Also, the PC version will release in March with Steam support.
On its official blog Capcom Unity, the company detailed some of the changes that the new update brings to Resident Evil 6:
-Unlocks Ada's campaign from the start (don't have to finish the others for access)
-Unlocks optional co-op partner for Ada's campaign (human controlled)
-Adds more camera functionality; zoom in and out to your liking
-Unlocks "No Hope" difficulty mode. It's... hard :)
There will also be a second title update on January 22, adding the following adjustments:
-Agent Hunt mode unlocked from the start
-Agent Hunt selectable criteria before starting match (stage, region, settings like infinite ammo or friendly fire)
-Stage selection within chapters
-QTE assist; you have the option to automatically complete most QTE events (a relief on Professional, looking at you Simmons)
Capcom announced that the PC version of Resident Evil 6 will be released in North America on March 22 of next year. The company says that it will have all the post-launch updates and bug fixes included on day one. It will also support cloud saves, leaderboards and -- most importantly -- Steam Achievements.
As previously announced, Capcom is also releasing a DLC pack of three new multiplayer modes tomorrow. For more details, check out our previous story.

Well, looks like I'm booting up RE6 to check out these updates. It's been on my backburner for quite some time with the other fall releases coming out soon after if. I do enjoy the game, not my favorite RE game, but still fun to play.
This is nice, but I honestly didn't like RE6. How do you expect someone to buy an updated PC version of a game if the console version sucked ? Well, unless your Minecraft.
I have no desire to play this game but this update is pretty cool. I guess if someone bought it and had an issue with any of these they have a reason to come back and play it again.
So Ada's getting an optional co-op partner.
I wish everyone else also had an optional co-op partner...
I guess I'm just pining for the days when Resident Evil either had split campaigns or choosing one of two. All of this co-op is starting to seem forced, and it's usually no good if you don't have someone to play with.
I still need to get this game. But I'm not sure about it. I think I'm going to wait for Dead Space 3.
I forgot Resident Evil 6 even happened.
Yaaaaaay for PC version!
Well that's good that it's getting an update!
update is interesting except unlocking ada's campaign easily, i mean, spoiler alert...when you played resident evil 2, and you beat the game, you had the 'B' scenarios to complete to find out what the other character was doing while you were playing, which equals the equivalent of ada's campaign!!!!!
