Meet Tess From The Last Of Us

The latest video from Sony doesn't offer a lot of details on the narrative of The Last of Us, but it does show off the technical hoops that must be jumped through to go from motion capture to final product. You also get to meet Tess, is briefly, a character that was recently introduced.

The Last of Us is set for release on May 7.

  • The Last of Us is definitely my most anticipated game for 2013.
  • "You also get to meet Tess, is briefly, a character that was recently introduced." What?
  • That is just the mostest gramattically and syntaxally correct body ever.

  • Jesus, Kyle. Didn't we tell you to leave the alcohol at home? =D
  • Tess is the character that has the same hair color as the female protagonist, and is roughly the age to be her mother, correct? In the game about the relationship between said female protagonist and a guy who will probably become her father figure? Which would allow for the dynamic of the surrogate-father-daughter relationship to be tested by the introduction of a biological mother? Ah, yes, that character. (Video game teasers have gotten to the point of almost being as bad as movie trailers, where one basically watches the entire movie...)
  • "The latest video from Sony doesn't offer a lot of details on the narrative of The Last of Us, but it doesn't show off the technical hoops that must be jumped through to go from motion capture to final product." so if it doesn't do any of those things... what does it do.
  • "It is over Tess!"
  • Is there an in-house proofreader at Game Informer? There should be. However, it was the simple ”does” vs. ”doesn't” mistake that made the article interesting in the first place, so...fix those freakin' sentence-level errors before posting text live, GI staff!
  • I'm gonna slowly drive-by the grammar accident and say that I loved Annie Wersching when she was on 24.
  • Ehh judging from your parragraph, the video doesn't offer anything...Sadly I cannot judge the videoas I'm currently in mobile and GI's videoplayer can often times be an annoying female dog.

  • Troy Baker is an amazing voice actor.
  • Soon, video games will be in the academy awards before you know it.
  • HUGE crush on Annie Wersching since I saw her on 24. That said, Naughty Dog knows how to get some great emotion out of their actors.
  • looks pretty damm cool to me :)

  • in the words of eric cartman..."gad deemit Kyle"
  • They are REALLY good actors. I appreciate this video quite a bit.

  • And we shall pretend the paragraph made sense....
  • To quote John Rambo: "Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don't turn it off!"
