The lights are on
THQ has revealed some more information about 4A Games' upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter, Metro: Last Light. If you preorder the game, you'll be able to get a special limited edition of it, which includes in-game bonuses and Metro 2033's punishing Ranger Mode.
The limited edition, which is available at no additional cost to people who preorder the game, includes several in-game extras. The first is a modified Russian rifle, the AKS-74U. The limited edition also includes Ranger Mode, which was available as DLC for Metro 2033. Players who take on this challenge will face reduced ammo availability and increased weapon damage, both from enemies' and Artyom's weapons. To help compensate for the difficulty spike, the limited edition includes the Ranger loadout. This essentially pads your wallet by providing additional military-grade bullets, which are the game's currency.
Ranger Mode also includes the Ranger Hardcore variant, which manages to increase the damage effects from Ranger Mode even further while also removing the game's HUD. You'll have to keep a close eye on your weapons for ammo counts, and avoid firing your weapons altogether if you can.
Metro: Last Light will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in March. For a look at it in action, check out the most recent trailer.

I was already planning on preordering this. So it's a nice bonus! And Ranger mode and Ranger Hardcore variant sounds like a perfect fit. Very excited!
Well I already have this preordered, so awesome.
Is this is a DLC offer, or is it for once included in the game at no connecting to the Internet required?
This game looks pretty cool. Can't wait for its release!
Sweeet.
I hope they have Cabbage Medals.
And here I though it was Morphing Time. That should totally be a mode.
Yes please. I love playing games that sink into history as cult classics, and metro 2033 was easily one of my favorites. I still would've preordered it even if the bonuses cost extra.
This went from a buy to a must buy!
For anyone that doesnt have Metro 2033, it is free right now, just go to the facebook page! www.facebook.com/MetroVideoGame
