Rage DLC Drops Next Week

by Mike Mahardy on Dec 14, 2012 at 10:19 AM

Bethesda announced on its blog today that the long-awaited "The Scorchers" content for Rage will release next week.

A PEGI ratings post foreshadowed incoming Rage content back in June, but there hasn't been any news following the initial findings until now.

The Scorchers, members of a bandit clan that didn't make it into the final cut of Rage, are attacking the Hager Settlement. Naturally, it's up to you to stop them. Don't worry though, you'll have help from a few new allies, as well as a new weapon, the Nailgun.

In addition to the main content, the DLC offers more arena battles in a new season of Mutant Bash TV, as well as the "Ultra-Nightmare" difficulty level, which sounds pretty hard. If you're tired of shooting things and would rather relax, new mini-games have also been added to the hub towns, while a new game plus mode will help completionists find every last collectible.

"The Scorchers" releases next week for $4.99 on PSN or 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360.
