The lights are on
Level – 5 and game designer Yasumi Matsuno have come together to create Crimson Shroud, the table top RPG.
You play as Giauque, a young “Chaser” who makes a living finding people’s lost treasure. The outcome of every battle is decided by the amount of dice you have and the player’s ability to strategically string together skills and earn bonus dice effectively.
“When it comes to creating intricate, compelling and fun role-playing experiences, it’s hard to find anyone more respected than Yasumi Matsuno,” said Akihiro Hino, President and CEO of Level – 5, “Crimson Shroud serves to continue this amazing legacy of genre-defining games.”
Crimson Shroud is available now via the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS for $7.99. Check out the trailer below to see the action for yourself.

hey GI, any impressions? Is the game any good?
YES! i've been waiting for this game since Liberation Maiden was brought over. Downloading it as soon as I get home from work.
Wow, this looks very cool. I echo the first poster, some impressions on the game would be most welcomed. It looked great and I loved the music so far, the whole look and feel reminded me of FF tactics.
I really luv the 3DS!
It might be just me, but it doesn't look that great of a game from the videos. I don't know why, but it just doesn't look so fun. If a review or something like that gets released, I might change my mind, but it just doesn't seem that good of a game.
Yea, I now need a 3DS ASAP. This looks too good to pass up.
YESSS!
Ah! I've been waiting for this. Anything with Matsuno's name on it is a day-one buy for me. Been playing his games for almost 20 years without a single let down.
I think I'll make this my first 3DS downloaded game (beyond ambassador titles). My friends and I were just talking about experimenting with some D&D over Christmas, so I guess this'll be a gentle way to ween me into a bit of the unavoidable grind. And of course, the frustration of dicethrow stats, but I think XCOM has already sufficiently beaten that into me.
Well that looks interesting.
Matsuno rocks it, I'm sure this'll go down well with fans of his works.
looks pretty interesting, though I don't have a 3ds so i will have to wait.
Hm, this looks interesting. Not sure how well it'll translate to a video game, but I'll keep an eye out.
