Square Enix Confirms Hitman HD Is Sneaking Out Next Year

Square Enix has officially announced that the Hitman: HD Trilogy is coming to stores early next year. The collection includes three past Hitman games, with a spiffy HD coating.

The collection, which is coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on January 29, includes HD updates of Hitman Contracts, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman Blood Money. The bundle will set you back about $40. Xbox 360 players can score the premium edition, which includes the game and an art book.

Even though I own all these games on Steam and other retail forms, I will definitely be picking this HD Collection up, just for my love of the Hitman Franchise.

Great news for the new hitman fans! They'll now be able to experience what made past Hitman games great. Absolution was "enjoyable" but it's a complete 180 of what Hitman used to be.

I never played Blood Money, but didn't it get released on both the original XBOX and 360? Were they the same game? Will this collection have an HD conversion of the PS2/XBOX game or the the same version already released on the 360?

Skipping the original? I hope it turns out well! I'd get this for sure. Especially since Absolution from Gamestop came with a PC download for the other games in the series, but it left me wanting something of higher quality.

I played all 3 on the PS2, but Blood Money was the one I spent the most time with. Poison donuts, make people fall through glass, hide dead bodies in bathroom stalls...I love Hitman.
