The lights are on
The new release window for Arma 3 has been pushed to an unspecified time in 2013. Bohemia Interactive expects the release plans to be finalized next year, and is confident that the additional development time will allow the game’s full potential to be realized.
Project lead, Joris-Jan van‘t Land, referred to the imprisonment of two Bohemia Interactive employees in Greece as a problem they couldn’t have imagined.
The two employees were arrested earlier this year on suspicion of espionage, while visiting the island of Lemnos, which inspired the environment in Arma 3. The two employees are still in jail and awaiting legal proceedings. While Land acknowledges the arrest affected the studio on a personal level, he also states that the team is continuing to work on tasks which are integral to the release of Arma 3.

As long as they are still hard at work on it, it's all good for me. And yes, those two lads in Greece should have been long out. Come on, it's not like they were going to sell any information to the USSR right... Wait, you say there's no longer a USSR? You joke? So I built that nuclear bomb shelter for nothing? Ah fk sake...
Really hope the two devs can come home safe. Can't imagine what their friends and family must be going through.
I hope it´s worth it.
I hope they take their time with this game and do it right. What they have shown so far is amazing, it would be a shame if they screwed it up with poor ai, controls or whatnot.
Every time a game is pushed back I feel like driving my head through a wall, but it is important to remember that they are probably postponed for a reason.
No! I was a fan of the first two, this is so disappointing! Hopefully though, with the delay it won't be as buggy as ArmA2.
As long as it's great...
Its Bohemia Interactive. I've been following their games since before Operation Flashpoint came out and they are worse then Valve when it comes to release dates. Obviously this time around its far more understandable with Ivan and Martin being arrested. Hopefully they get released soon... its simply amazing they are still in jail.
Well I'm not surprised about the delay, and I really hope this whole situation with the imprisoned devs gets solved soon!
