The lights are on
Rovio has announced that an Angry Birds movie is officially on the way.
It's being produced by John Cohen, the producer behind Despicable Me, with former Marvel Studios chairman David Maisel signed on as executive producer. The film should be in theatres the summer of 2016, which should be the perfect amount of time for the Angry Birds fad to fade away... right?

Still probably gonna be better than Twilight
Ah yes, another fine example of a company running its franchise into the ground. The real question is why? The answer:$$$MONEY$$$!!! I could see the possibility of an Assassins creed game with the interesting world and many concepts to explore. This Movie is going to end up the same way that the super Mario bros. movie did.
Not sure I understand where they're going with this, or why they think 2016 is a good time to launch it.
No. I enjoy playing Angry Birds very occasionally. But the game has absolutely no story to it whatsoever. A movie would be awful.
Anyways, who else is looking forward to Farmville's book adaption?
2016? Does it really need to take that long?
And they cant take all the halo cinematics and make a movie?
God. This movie is going to be such a piece of crap. I hate all this stupid Angry Birds overfranchising.
what movie see like maybe
Wasn't this news in 2011... I mean, Rio...????? And yeah, in four years will we even care about Angry Birds any more... I'm pretty much over it, the Star Wars game isn't very fun....
