Fan Builds Atari 2600's E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Out Of Legos

Most of the video game-inspired Lego sets highlighted on Game Informer's website consist of thousands of pieces. This isn't the case with famed brick builder Gilcelio's Lego E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. This set consists of just 39 pieces, yet captures every little detail from the game, including the bulge between E.T.'s legs. I played this game for hours, and never noticed it was there. Young Reiner clearly didn't see the world in the way old Reiner does now.

Gilcelio's photo gallery is loaded with great pieces, including a few others based on classic games (like the Atari 2600 collection below). Check them out and leave him a comment!

This is cool but really nothing special. Anything 4-bit is really easy to make out of Lego's.

Though it initially looks unimpressive you should look again. Each 'half-brick' is actually 1000 times larger than your average Lego and consists of several smaller actual bricks. 39 x 1000+ pieces = one of the largest sets in history. A true challenge for any Lego-maniac.

Its almost surprising no one did this yet. Its so simple. Either way, I love it. The tiny bulge is pretty hilarious. I never saw it either.
