The lights are on
Last week, it was announced that European Wii U owners could only purchase 18+ rated games during certain hours of the night. Now we have an explanation. Nintendo said in a statement to Eurogamer:"Legal age restriction requirements vary across a number of European countries. Since Nintendo of Europe is based in Germany, Nintendo eShop is complying with German youth protection regulation which therefore applies to all our European markets. Under German law, content rated 18+ must be made available only at night."Therefore the accessibility of 18+ content in Nintendo eShop is limited to [USK: 22:00 UTC until 4:00 UTC] [PEGI: 23:00 UTC until 3:00 UTC]."[Via:Eurogamer]

does it really matter though? the appeal of nintendo has always been all ages content.
that is ridiculous
That's pretty lame. It would make more sense just to require of parental code or something.
Glad I don't live in Europe. I feel sorry for them, being pulled down by Germany's idiocy.
well, kids today stay up late. (depends?) oh wells,
poor europe :c that sucks for them.
