The lights are on
According to NPD, Nintendo sold a lot of hardware in November.According to a week's worth of data following its November 18 launch, the Wii U sold 425,000 units, nearly matching the Wii's launch week sales of 475,000.Resulting from high Black Friday sales, this marks the 36th time that Nintendo sold more than 1 million units in the span of one month. Between the 3DS and DS, portable units were responsible for 910,000 hardware unit sales, while the Wii and Wii U sales were around 845,000."The groundbreaking Wii U, the continued strength of the Nintendo 3DS and the enduring appeal of the Wii and DS drove momentum on Black Friday and through November," said Scott Moffitt, executive president of Sales and Marketing at Nintendo of America. "Wii U is off to a tremendous start in the United States, it is essentially sold out at retail, and has cemented its status as the 'must-have' product this holiday season."

This is fantastic! Glad to know Nintendo's still moving units.
good numbers i say.
The Wii U is stunning. The 3DS is breath-taking and the DS is sooo powerful. They all have legit games.
Well, well. Good for them. :D
the test will be in the new year and if consoles keep moving. I suspect they will but IMO word of mouth is going to be more important than traditional marketing. I still think Nintendo has not marketed this thing correctly but when I get people to actually play the system and sit down and play Nintendo Land, especially Mario Chase, they love it.
The DS and it's other versions has been in stores almost a decade...
I'm fine with that.
Essentially sold out? Then why do I keep seeing several of both models in stock in every department store I walk in?
Glad to see the Wii-U doing well. Despite the software, I love, love the hardware. Nintendo really made an exceptional system with the Wii-U.
Good for Nintendo! They deserve a break after their financial struggles fiasco.
Keep up the good work!
