The lights are on
The most talked about game at this year's Spike Video Game Awards show was The Phantom Pain, a game we were led to believe was being created by new developer Moby Dick Studio.
It didn't take NeoGAF users long to throw on their Sherlock Holmes attire to investigate this new game and its developer. What they found first was Moby Dick Studio's website, which doesn't offer much in terms of content, but does detail the company in its "about" section. Here's what it says:
Moby Dick Studio is a game
developing company operating out of Stockholm, Sweden. Moby Dick Studio
was founded by CEO Joakim Mogren who after years of working for a major
American developer brought together people out of various game studios
from around the Scandinavian area to start something new.
Our goal is to deliver an uncompromising, exciting and touching game experience to people all around the globe.
We will shortly be disclosing information regarding our first major release.
The CEO, Joakim Mogren, has an interesting name. "Joakim" is actually an anagram for "Kojima." Neogaf then dissected the footage, revealing many links to the Metal Gear series, including a scar on the protagonist's face that matches Snake's from Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. The character emerging from the fire looks a lot like Volgin. The lines above the Phantom Pain logo supposedly also spell out Metal Gear Solid V, if you use the Metal Gear font.
We'll have to wait for confirmation to know for sure, but I have a feeling Neogaf uncovered the truth behind this game. My guess: It'll be called Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain.
Check out NeoGAF for all of the other hidden secrets in Phantom Pain's trailer.

what the hell is going on ? WHO SET THIS UP ???
Well that didn't take long.
If that wasn't Naked Snake then I'm president obama. The whole trailer had a MGS vibe to it and they had him crouch walking like Snake and laying face down like snake crawling. 100% convinced and 100% sold. In Kojima I trust. I'll put my money down to pre-order now.
If that was a trailer for a new ip then it was stupid. If it was secretly a trailer for a new MGS then that was freakin awesome.
I wish I could have watched myself slowly realizing that this vga world premeier was an mgs game.
Wow this looks interesting, wait is th-hmm...
His hair reminds me little bit of Snake, heh.
Wait what the f**k!? HOLY SH** WAS THAT VOLGIN!? IS THAT THE SORROW!!!! WHAT IS GOING ON? Why am I seeing mgs stuff in this game!? little did I know...
Kojima sure likes messing with people with his new games and I love it.
Speculating is the best part about new Metal Gear announcements, it's like Lost.
Awesome. I hope it's better than MGS4. Don't get me wrong I thought 4 was a GREAT game, but I just didn't think it was anywhere near as good as the others. I'm not exactly sure why either there was just something about it. The graphics were nice, but just didn't appeal to me...Either way like I said I thought it was amazing, and I'm sure 5 will continue that for the series.
Watched the trailer first thing this morning...I'm kind of speechless on it. But one thing is for certain, this is more Metal Gear and that is not a bad thing in the least!
The minute I saw this at the vgas I knew this was metal gear.
Lol. Kojima, you always make me love you.
that was totally snake my friends and i were like this is the new metal gear game
Awesome conspiracy theory here. Didn't take us long to find it at all. I only hope we are correct and these aren't simply amazing coincidences...
IGN also pointed out that the name "Mogren" contains the word "ogre," and Konami is working on something called "Project Ogre."
As if he hasn't trolled players enough already!
I just want to grab Kojima by the shirt and shake him while yelling at him "Why must you fill me with such excitement with just so little shown!!!"
Watch it be something completely diff and off the wall having nothing to do with Kojima. I'd look foolish wouldn't I? lol
