Trials Evolution DLC Prepares Gamers For The Apocalypse

We're less than a month away from when the Mayans believed the world would end. Why not celebrate their stupidity with some new doomsday-themed DLC for Trials Evolution?

Trials Evolution's upcoming Riders of Doom pack adds a new environment called The Big Sand Lands, which Ubisoft says was inspired by the end of the world and features 40 new tracks. The DLC also adds a motorbike called the Banshee, plus ten new Skill games.

Perhaps the real draw is that the DLC pack adds hundreds of new objects to the game's level editor. Ubisoft revealed that players have already created 200,000 tracks for the base game, and having a new environment and objects to play around with will undoubtedly boost that number even higher. Here's today's teaser trailer for the new DLC:

Riders of Doom releases this December for 400 MS Points. If you haven't played Trials Evolution yet, read our review to find out more about the game.

  • I want to get this game so bad!

  • I voted this game Xbox 360 exclusive of the year on the GI 2012 Game Awards.
  • AWESOME!!!

  • Mayans-stupid!?! Careful guys. That's pretty offensive and really quite ignorant. I'm not gonna be the guy who try's to explain to you why the Mayans aren't stupid, or assume that you actually believe that, but jeez... I don't want to think my game informers are so poorly informed about that history and how offending a comment like that can be...

Also, I really want to play this game! Wasn't it supposed to come out on steam?
  • Just like the last dlc this one should be great.
And is everyone really going to talk about Jeff's reference about the Mayan calendar and doomsday when it was a JOKE and not that important or acted as an insult.
  • :O

The game's level editor is too much for me. I can't begin to comprehend making a map, but I really like the user created ones. I might have to buy this DLC.

  • The level creator is this game is on the same level as Halo's forge, it's amazing.

  • The Maya never said the world would end on Decemeber 21st. In fact, the master astronomers known as the "Mayan Elders" would be disappointed that people are saying they predicted the "End of the World".

Keep this in mind when pondering the "2012 Doomsday": there are people making money off of this. People subscribe to websites that promote the "Planet X" hoax and Sitchin's "Annunaki" bulls*** (Assassin's Creed, anyone?). It's all a bunch of fear porn, meant to distract you from your pursuit of happiness. The sun will rise in the east, and set in the west on Dec. 21st. Just like every other day.
  • hmm. might try this

  • This looks awesome!

  • GI should do something really fun/funny on the END OF THE WORLD DAY :O just to make everyone enjoy the world not ending and laugh at how stupid it is. I'm guessing you're not buying into that crap either, Jeff?

  • HA.. oh Jeff M.

  • Hahahaha.

  • That's a lot of new editing tools.

  • The Mayans did not believe the world would end, they believed it would be the end of the fourth era of man and beginning of the fifth. I love you GI but do your research before posting ignorance on your website. You're journalists!
  • I may celebrate the apocalypse with a healthy dose of Fallout 3.

No, scratch that. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. That game is infinitely creepier.

  • I would like to point out that its not necessarily when the Mayans BELIEVED it would end, its just when their calendar ends. personally, I think it was just an issue of seeing that they were already a few hundred years into the future and got bored. and on top of that, they were enslaved by the Spanish, which would, obviously, stop them from finishing the calendar.
  • Well I guess they need to write more dates on there calendar! Looks Iike this will be fun!
