Hearthfire, Dawnguard For PS3 Still Coming

Bethesda says that once development on Dragonborn, the upcoming expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is completed for PlayStation 3 next year the team will focus on finishing the first two add-on content Hearthfire and Dawnguard.

"On PS3 in particular, we turned our attention to Dragonborn, as we thought it was the best content to release first, and we didn’t want folks to wait longer," Bethesda said. "Once it’s ready to go for everyone, we’ll continue our previous work on Hearthfire and Dawnguard for PS3.

"Each one takes a lot of time and attention to work well in all circumstances and all combinations of DLC. Once we have a better idea of release timing and pricing, we’ll let you know."

  • yeah!!!!! i wanna be sucked back in!!!!
  • bravo.

  • I hope it adds more colors than just brown.

  • Skyrim is hands down my favorite game of this generation. Noticed how I said mine, so before anyone comes saying "no man Borderlands is the best" or "Halo is best nuubs l0l!",you don't have to agreee with me and if you like something ese, that's cool with me so long as you respect my opinion.
  • Well I hope its soon, well its kinda late for me, I kinda totally stoped playing but I could maybe get back in.

  • Any review for this GI? Thinking of getting it.

EDIT: Oops. I meant the review for Dragonborn. *Facepalm* Thanks Mr. Cactus.
  • if Dawnguard isn't free, i'm not interested. I'll gladly pay for Dragonborn if it comes out on time.
  • I put Skyrim down a long time ago, I think after many hours I ended up preferring oblivion. Maybe if they release a goty edition I might go back

  • Like Battlefront 3, any news about Skyrim DLC on PS3 makes me sad to a point.

  • Me and my friends have been enjoying all the DLC (especially Dragonborn)on Xbox

And I feel everyone deserves to play them

  • w h e n ? ?
  • up to I saw the bank draft that said $8363, I be certain that...my... neighbours mother had been realey taking home money parttime at there labtop.. there mums best friend haz done this for less than seventeen months and a short time ago paid the debts on their place and bought a top of the range Toyota. • Mod
I'm grateful they're focusing on Dragonborn first, but happy they haven't given up on the other two as well. I for one appreciate their extra effort.
  • I believe them, as their track record is evidence of their reliability. -Said no one ever.

  • i gave up on skyrim dlc on ps3

  • Have the DLCs on the Xbox and being able to taunt PS3 guys was fun at Dawnguard, but now I feel bad every time I jump on the game.

  • So far everything is just words. Bethesda currently has nothing to show for it. Once a Dragonborn hits the PS3, some of my trust in them will be restored, but for now, this is just talk...

  • At last.

  • I don't know how to respond to this.

I'm happy that they will be releasing Dragonborn next year and eventually Hearthfire and Dawnguard, but another part of me wants to scream, "WHY THE FLIP HAVE YOU NOT FOCUSED ON DAWNGUARD AND HEARTHFIRE BEFORE NOW!?"

Then there's the other part of me that reasons, "But if they focused on Dawnguard and Hearthfire, then it could have taken forever before Dragonborn came around for ANYBODY. Then you would have no DLC for a long time, genius."

At least we can pass the time with Dragonborn while they are trying to fix Dawnguard and Hearthfire. :)
  • That's good news and I can't wait to play it.
