Go Behind The Scenes Of Ni No Kuni's Development

Level 5's CEO Akihiro Hino invites fans inside the famed studio's Fukuoka-based headquarters as he discusses the making of Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch.

The first episode of Namco Bandai's look at the making of Ni No Kuni provides an office tour of Level 5 and discusses the studio's design philosophy. It also delves into the animation of Ni No Kuni, which still blows me away for how closely it resembles a Studio Ghibli film. Check it out.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch comes out on January 22 for PlayStation 3, but you can download a demo of it right now. Learn more about the game by heading to our Five Under The Radar Games Worth Watching hub.

  • "It also delves into the animation of Ni No Kuni, which still blows me away for how closely it resembles a Studio Ghibli film." You and me both.
  • Awesome.

  • v What he said!

  • I keep having momentary doubts about keeping my pre-order of the game, but then I see just a little bit more of video on it and it reassures me how good a decision I made, hehe.

    -update-

After playing the demo.. I've cancelled my pre-order. Completely boring, I'm afraid. It is all the whimsical without the character of, say, Dragon Quest 8, which I loved. Wish I could say I'd feel good about paying them my money, and I want SO much to like the game.. it just isn't any fun for me. Maybe the story is its saving grace, maybe once you get a lot of creatures and abilities bouncing around it'd add some depth, but as is: it was tough even playing the demo. Sorry, Level 5.
  • ooooh~ cant wait for the game

  • I hope one of these focuses on the score of the game. I'd love to see Joe Hisaishi talking about it.
  • I'm looking forward to this game, but I hope they announce something Dark Cloud related once Ni no Kuni ships.
  • I was worried. Then i downloaded the Demo. HOLY @$#%! My child dreams have been answered. A Ghibli game!! and it's awesome.  Hope restored...memories of The Last Guardian fading...

  • Is this a PS3 exclusive? I heard them say they wanted to make a game children will like. Does that mean we might see a Wii U version?

  • Not for the lack of trying but this game just doesn't seem that exciting. It seems like people just like it because the animation reminds them of kikis delivery service.....or that might just be me letting my flying mind take over this comment.
  • Now difficult to get a job with good salary, but with this company you can make $ 45 per hour. All information on this site..www.Google.MEL7.CoM
  • This game reminds me so much of Rogue Galaxy gameplay wise (which makes sense because it is made by Level-5) I can't wait the demo is amazing!

  • I bought a PS2 at the end of it's cycle... guess I'll buy a PS3 the same way ><

I love my PC but I'm dying to play some Sony exclusives. And the new PSN Plus sub is hard to let pass by.

  • This game looks sick!

  • If you are any kind of serious RPG fan you need to download the demo on PS3 Asap. This game shows how a true RPG should be made. The animation, battle system, and world map remind me why I became an RPG fan many years ago. More developers need to pay attention here. If you are reading this just..go...go now...go download this masterpiece.
  • pre-ordered this altho i'm not 100% sure if i'll like it altho i do love most of level-5's games ( white knight chronicals was just ...ehh)  i should probly play the demo first.
