Here Is The Second Limited Edition Ratchet & Clank Poster From iam8bit

Ratchet & Clank are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, and in honor of the occasion, Insomniac has partnered with iam8bit to create a very cool, very limited series of posters. We saw the first poster in the series back in October from artist Aled Lewis, and next up is some very cool Calvin and Hobbes-esque work from artist Chris B. Murray.

Make sure to head to iam8bit's online store for more information on the project and to grab one of the limited posters for yourself.

  • Hilariously cool.

  • woah nice

  • This reminds me of a movie where a kid and some giant robot become friends, especially the top-right picture. I want this.

  • I liked the last one better, I don't get why there is a kid in all of them, not a lombax.
  • Very cool, great work.

  • I don't get it. I don't get the point of making Ratchet into a kid. I don't think this captures much of the tone of Ratchet and Clank at all.

Besides which, I don't see the point in "celebrating" Ratchet's 10th Anniversary this way either. It's definitely Sony's least impressive platformer series. Out of their "big 3" anyway - I suppose it's better than Ape Escape and Jumping Flash;)

Celebrate Sly Cooper and Jak first. Sly Cooper, with his slick thieving attitude and "fun heist movie" tone, would EASILY lend itself to cooler, more stylized posters than Ratchet.
  • That cat looks incredibly bizarre in the last panel.
  • This... is actually brilliant.

Who hasn't wished that our favorite action figures were living, breathing sentient creatures? Perhaps it was a stuffed animal or dolly or robot. The active imagination of a child will turn any toy into a talking, living creature that hangs out with us and goes on adventures with us.

In these pictures, the human is Ratchet. See those goggles the human is wearing? The very same goggles that Ratchet wears inside the games. See that cat? The fact that this animal is in 2 frames says it is relevant. Maybe he loves cats? In fact, doesn't a Lombax look like a Human and Cat combined? That's because Ratchet is a product of this kid's wild imagination. He is pretending to be a mystical creature called a "lombax" and that is his toy robot. Ratchet & Clank.

This piece is a depiction of a child and his active imagination.
  • I need new posters, so I'll probably get one of these. If the price is right, of course.
  • Love it!

  • Good poster, but i gotta say.....creepy *** cat, man.

  • The first one was pretty awesome. This one sucks.

  • cool

  • Wow. That looks really good.
