XCOM: Enemy Unknown's Slingshot DLC Is Available Now

XCOM's Slingshot DLC is available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC today and Firaxis has released a trailer and screenshots to let fans know what they're getting into.

Slingshot costs $6.99 on PSN and PC, and 560 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. The pack introduces three new maps tied to Council missions, a new playable squad member with its own voice and storyline, and additional character customization options.

    That new soldier looks pretty cool. My only question is: when you get the new soldier can you use his new class for other soldiers?

    Personally, I think all of the DLC for XCOM has been absolutely terrible. 7 dollars for a little variety in council missions, some customization options, and a single unique soldier? Not for me. Then again, Firaxis has never impressed me with their DLC, particularly compared to its cost.

    Got the DLC on PS3, now the game wont load, tried it on a second PS3, also crashed it. Now I get no Xcom. Sad day

    They need to have dlc for a variety of death animations.  I would definitely pay for that.

    Hope I get this game for Christmas. I'm not into strategy games that much, probably because I rarely play games on PC, but this game looks awesome. If it's as good as I've heard it's been, DLC will be a welcome addition.

    I would have to say this sounds a bit pricey. There doesn't seem to be enough playable content to put out 6.99 for. The customization seems cool but it still seems like too much money.
