If you sign into Xbox Live today, you will have to take part in a small but mandatory update that fixes a few bugs with the operating system. The news comes from Xbox Live's Major Nelson, who offers a few details on what exactly is getting updated (or has been updated if you're already signed in) below.

"In this update, we are correcting some issues such as displaying the incorrect playlist name when launching a playlist from Xbox SmartGlass to the console, an error with Xbox Video closed-captioning and an error with Xbox Music that some were experiencing."

Took like a minute to download it. Not sure why they couldn't have just updated each app, but glad they fixed it.

I have a better idea,why not release an update that eliminates all the freaking advertisements,simplifies the dashboard so it doesn't look so crammed up full of worthless ***! I have enough advertising on TV and the Internet and I don't want it on my console,what will happen next? Will the XBOX720 interrupt me mid-game to show me a commercial? Seriously,It's not that the new dashboard or the Ads hinder your experience in any way...it just seems unnecessary and makes the dashboard look cluttered and...ugly. (Sorry for the initial rant,I get over exited when I'm criticizing something...does that make me a troll?)

My box has a glitch that started with the new update where the dashboard loads forever when I turn on my console. I can get to stuff using the guide button, and after I exit a game or app it loads fine. Was hoping this would fix that.

So far this update caused a corruption of my wwe 13 data...halo is safe so far but,haven't checked anything else yet so just a heads up to anyone else if you have issues your not alone.
