Limited Edition Hyrule Historia Book Coming In February

Dark Horse Books is bringing a limited edition hardcover edition of Nintendo's Hyrule Historia book stateside on February 12. This chronicle of the Legend of Zelda series kicks off with an introduction by Shigeru Miyamoto, and includes never-before-seen concept art on pages that detail the making of this series, as well as the history of Hyrule. A new comic from Akira Himekawa is also included.

Dark Horse is only making 4,000 copies of the limited edition. It retails for $69.99. If you don't care about the faux-leather cover, Dark Horse is releasing a standard edition, which hits stores on January 29 for $34.99.

  • I wish they'd focus more on renovating the series more than celebrating it. I'm really worried about it. I really don't like the way the story and theme have been handled over the last two games.
  • Love the Zelda games. Probably wont get into this though considering I like to read the books before getting into any movies or any other form of media associated with it.
  • Ya, this is sexy.

  • wow, a trailer for a book.

  • I must have this..

  • You can save some money if you go to Amazon and preorder. I think I saved probably $15.

  • Amazon has the normal edition for 20 bucks, don't waste money by buying it straight from Dark Horse.
  • I don't think I'd want this without the leather cover, the extra little touches really do make things like this worth having.
  • Damn, and I thought I was going to get off easy getting the book. Well, I guess that'd still be the case if I can't get a LE...

  • Maybe this will help those of us who are "Chronologically Confused About Zelda". Then again, maybe it will just make things worse. Who knows... the Shadow knows!

  • i was planning on buying it, until the price came up, screeew that
  • It's $32 at BarnesandNoble.com.
  • must have. that is all

  • Can't wait for this to come out!  Definitely sticking with the standard edition, though.  $70 is way too much just for a faux-leather cover--even a real leather cover.

  • wow.

  • But I need that...

  • Wait, so is the only difference between the two editions the hard cover? Because that would be oh so stupid.
  • Might be a good collectible.

  • I love Zelda and concept art. I must have this as soon as it comes out! I'm so excited!

  • Awesome.
