Wii U's TVii Coming To Europe Next Year

We were disappointed to hear that TVii wasn't coming to North America until December 2012, but it's not all bad news. Originally TVii was announced as a North America and Canada exclusive, but it looks like it's on track to appear in Europe next year.

According to Europe's Nintendo site, "TVii will be available in selected regions throughout Europe in 2013." Right now, you can set up your Wii U to control your television and cable box, but TVii will add all kinds of additional features which you can find out more about in the video below.

  • I'm glad I don't live in Europe.
  • Me neither Bro.

  • Because us in America care about this. NORTH AMERICA FTW
  • I don't really get why it takes so much longer just to release it in a different part of the world.
  • Hey, at least it's coming over here! Yipee!
  • Ehh I may not be a fan of Nitendo since the Wii. but I feel bad for the people in Europe in the matter that they have to wait so long. At least you guys will get it eventually.

  • I'm still not clear on a lot of this aspect of the Wii U, and haven't bothered linking my console to my dish box or anything. I guess I could look it up, but I'm more interested in using the Wii U for gaming and Netflix than anything. Frankly, I don't find most television to be very interesting these days anyway. Bob's Burgers, Walking Dead, Futurama, Investigation Discovery. That's about it. The Discovery and History channels have been ruined with all their reality crap. Ironic RIP History Channel.
  • Hmm...

  • The extra "i" is for extra interesting.
  • Interesting.

  • So that's pronounced Wii Tveee, then?
  • oooh.

  • From what I see, Nintendo really hit it out of the park with TVii. Can'twait to use it whenever I get a Wii U.

  • meh. Looks interesting but I will stick with netflix and regular TV.
  • Canada is a part of North America.

  • okay

  • Does sound from the TV show come through the Wii U pad.

  • That's good, equal opportunity Nintendo fandom abounds.
