The lights are on
Peter Molyneux is best known as the godfather of the god game simulator. Now, the Populous creator is going back to his roots with a new Kickstarter project.
Today 22cans revealed Godus, a reinvention of Populous that involves creating and destroying the world around you. According to Molyneux, "Godus blends the power, growth and scope of Populous with the detailed construction and multiplayer excitement of Dungeon Keeper and the intuitive interface and technical innovation of Black & White." Your goal is to become the ultimate god and raise a legion of followers to overcome your rival god’s kingdoms.
If the studio meets its goal of £450,000 by December 21, it plans to release the game on PC and mobile platforms. To find out more about Godus, head to 22cans' Kickstarter page.

Good luck to him, but not sure if I'm willing to invest in the guy.
I've heard good things about Populous and Black & White but I just can't trust Molyneux handling a Kickstarter...
I'm trying to think of a lesser game than the ones he listed to compare this to, or elements I can remove (like stripping the detailed out of construction or the growth out of power and scope) in order to better represent a PM promise.
Could be much better than his past few...projects.
I wish him the best, and it sounds like a fun game. Like a broken record though, I'm not sure if his track record justifies my donation.
Mmm, the last 2 fables have left a bad taste in my mouth. So no thanks.
