Test Chamber - Nintendo Land

After spending time with Nintendo Land for our review, I thought it would be fun to rally some of the GI troops and play some of my favorite attractions. Of course, this lead to the competitive modes, where the hunt was on in Mario Chase, Luigi's Ghost Mansion, and Animal Crossing Sweet Day. We also worked together through one of the team attractions: Pikmin Adventure.

Watch below as Dan Ryckert hosts and shows why he loves Mario Chase while interns Mike Mahardy and O'Dell Harmon try to outshine our skills. Spoiler: Maybe they do....

  • Looking forward to more Wii U stuff from you guys!

  • I just hope I can get/find one before the end of this yaer.
  • Sweet! And O'Dell is in this!

  • The game doesn't look too bad but I can't imagine people playing it nearly as much as Wii Sports. Teamwork makes the dream work! I gotta use that line next time I play online. XD

  • Oh my gosh, their office looks so comfy and chill. It must be an amazing place to work!
  • hohoho! nice! looking forward to this!

  • Looks fun, glad it's a pack in title for me though. I wouldn't buy this at retail.

  • Wow. Looks really good :D

  • Looked cool and worth a play, if not $50 to purchase...

  • I like the new crew! This just seems like another Mario Party dressed as a different game, strangely Dan is enjoying it.
  • Team work makes the dream work. lol

  • Awesome!

  • Where's Jim Reilly? He would Probably say "this is the worst game. the story makes no sense".

  • What's wrong with Mike? He looks so grumpy...

  • I approve of O'Dell's awesome hoodie.

And this looks surprisingly intriguing.  This and Tank! Tank! Tank! kind of won me over as far as what they're trying to do.  Still not for me, but ah well.

  • Just as much fun as I had trying it out today. Great to see Miss Wallace for the first time in Test Chamber. Pity that they didn't have sour-grapes Jim Reilly here. He'd have had to pout a lot.

  • I know that the interns are new to the whole podcast, videoblog, replay thing; but I could totally see O'Dell doing this as a job whereas not so much with Mike. O'Dell seems confident and gives some amount to commentary while Mike sits all sullen and clams up unless being asked something or yelled at. I know he is a good writer from his articles, O'Dell is too, but if he were to get a job like one at Game Informer he would need to work on having fun with the game and the people he's playing with. Readers and viewers want entertainment when they see these productions so its best to present them with something of value so they'll keep coming back and subscribing.

  • Luigi's Ghost Mansion was embarrassing for everybody but O'Dell, who dominated.

  • AHHH! MARIO PARTY CLONE!!!!!
