  • Time to finally try it.
  • I guess this means I can see how my Jedi Consular from the free trial ends up being as a darksided Jedi... Besides that though, I just frankly hope they let F2P players finally type. Trial users didn't even get that option. Felt like a second class citizen.
  • Sweet, I've wanted to check out the story so now I finally can! :D
  • I'm glad TOR failed, it has caused the fall of EA.
  • Sweet! I've been waiting for this for so long. I'm gonna' play this so hard. Also, GI, you guys (and Dan by name) were mentioned in a Yahoo article. http://games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged-in/call-duty-black-ops-playstation-vita-deemed-embarrassment-181628122.html
  • I've tried many times to try WoW and this and I never end up doing so because it always takes SO long to download everything

  • I am definitely going to play it, but not soon... The game is probably over 25GB now with patches and stuff. Actually, even that may be a modest estimate. I wish MMO's had better compression techniques.

  • the game was great for a time but i have moved on like so many other people to guild wars 2 and to other games

  • I might try this out again now that it's free. I played it for a while but there wasn't enough to keep me paying for it.
  • Cool, I've been waiting for the option to come out!

  • I don't think they fully understand the idea of 'Free-to-Play." They are letting us play the skeleton of the game and literally nothing else. sure, you get to play it, but want to be something other than human? Want to play some of the more interesting classes? TOO BAD, MOTHER ***, YOU GOTTA PAY FOR THAT ***. Seriously, though, they really need to take a step back and look at other F2P games like LOTRO and DCU. They made the entire game accessible (including all races and classes, I might add) to free-to-play players, while leaving certain unique things to paying customers. That is how you do it! This whole carrot on a stick thing only goes so far, and this is not how you do it!
  • I would get back into this if i could REMEMBER MY DANG SECURITY QUESTION!!!! I don't remember what car i'd want to be!!
  • Isn't the level cap 50? So you get pretty much everything free, right? Also, are bought items pay-to-win or cosmetic only? I think this would be the defining factor in choosing to download it.
  • Woot! No more paying for a subscription.

  • I've played the F2P model for about 2 hours. There are more restrictions than it is written here. For instance you can't make the helm disappear (interface option) without paying for it. Of course if you don't choose that option you won't see how evil your character looks (allignment points). All the titles you have earned are only available if you are paying. Experience point gain is also lowered for people playing F2P...

  • Cool.

  • I'm downloading it now! I already play both WoW and Guild Wars 2, so I'm excited to try an MMO in the Star Wars universe.

  • I just checked into the F2P and am already a little disappointed, since there are more restrictions than originally stated. I can't display any of my earned titles for my character or disable the helmet from the interface. My characters are still on their original server, but all save one of them require a rename. Even as a Preferred member, I can't equip all my existing gear. I paid $60 for the *whole* game last year, BioWare, not bits and pieces of it. Guess I should have waited.
  • Well, now I might actually go back to playing it...
