The lights are on
Bethesda has announced a contest giving Elder Scrolls fans with a penchant for naming things the opportunity to give one of the characters in the game their designation.
The contest begins right now, and ends on November 21, so you've got less than a month to give our purple-skinned friend a name. Obviously, if your name is picked that will become his formal title, but you also get, "an awesome prize package." Bethesda hasn't detailed what exactly is in the package, but it sounds pretty awesome.
You can find out more about the contest and how to enter by heading here.
Email the author Kyle Hilliard, or follow on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and Game Informer.
Yeah, I think I'll have to pass. I have trouble enough coming up with terrible names not grounded in the lore for my characters, no way could I do it for an NPC whose name I'll see outside the save/load screen.
I wonder how many PS3 fans will enter?
It says on the official page itself what the prize is... We will select a total of one (1) winner. The winner will receive a prize package, worth approximately $100.00 USD total.
"The winner’s prize pack includes:
The winning name entry appearing in-game, for the same Dark Elf NPC shown in the concept art and mentioned in the story for this contest
One (1) The Elder Scrolls Online print of the Dark Elf NPC concept art (shown above), signed by the ESO Design Content Leads and Writers
One (1) The Elder Scrolls Online t-shirt
One (1) The Elder Scrolls Online poster"
Awesome. I will check this out now.
