The lights are on
Final Fantasy XIV shut down today, but not permanently. Square Enix is preparing to launch Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which theoretically fixes the many problems that have plagued the MMO since its launch.
Below you will find the cutscene marking the game's finale. A Realm Reborn will be entering the beta stages Winter 2012, which is just around the corner.

I bet that it still won't be that active.
That was amazing.
Nice, they destroy the world so they can deliver another game. Sadly I don't think they can fix the terrible and stupid idea they had when they released such a unpolished, bugged, and boring game such as FFXIV.
That was an incredible trailer, that old guy was awesome! Depending on what I hear of this I could give it a whirl.
That is an awesome video!
This is a pretty epic trailer, even if it signals the end of a game. I'm actually willing to give A Realm Reborn a chance. I think Square-Enix have learned their lesson. I know they can create a good MMO (Final Fantasi XI), so here's hoping they succeed.
Never played the game, but that video was superb. And the theme was beautiful.
Might try it out on the PS3 if the price is right, and can use the prepaid cards for the monthly fee's
Square always have some pretty great storylines, and equally great cinematics to back them up.
WoW! Epic! i hope they fixed ALOT of the initial problems, if they did i will DEF. be getting back to this!
This cutscene/cinematic is indicative of Square-Enix's potential and know-how to make an epic game. I think the reason why squenix is failing to produce anything that people are expecting is because they have bitten off more than they can chew. Take your time and make epic games like this epic cutscene/cinematic.
