You Can Now Play The Final Mission In 007 Legends

Activision has released new, free downloadable content for 007 that unlocks the game's final mission based on the Skyfall film. The content is available now on PlayStation Network and November 20 on Xbox Live and Steam.

The developer had to wait to release the content because they did not want to spoil the movie before it hit theaters. Check out the trailer below.

The Skyfall mission sends players into the heart of Istanbul to hunt down a brutal assassin. It quickly turns into an epic chase, taking fans on a treacherous pursuit that ends atop a speeding train as a mysterious sniper nearly ends Bond’s life. After overcoming death itself, 007 must track down his target across the world to Shanghai for a final showdown to uncover the truth…

  • Sounds like the mission has more plot than the movie (Isaw it yesterday).
  • Why it won't be available on Xbox and PC until the 20th? Then again I highly doubt a lot ofpeople might be excited by this or upset.
  • Why was it locked in the first place? Keeping it secret until the actual premiere?
  • I get that you guys are journalists and all but you told us all that this game sucked in your review, it just seems odd to report on its new content like, " hey, remember that game we told you you shouldn't buy? theres new stuff to do in it which you probably shouldn't care about"
  • There are people who are still waiting on this? I thought everyone hated Legends. Granted, people even bought MP DLC for DN:Forever
  • I first read this as we could download it on XBL and anyone could play the last mission. Now I care even less.
  • So, wait... the game was sold without being able to be completed? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Sorry offline customers, you'll never be able to finish the game you paid for, but thanks for the money! If you didn't want to spoil the movie, you should have waited to release your game, not sold an incomplete product.
  • While it will most likely suck like the rest of the game did, I do have to admit- the part where he slides down the rope with the P-99 is quite nice, albeit most likely improbable. ;-)

  • Soon they'll have DLC for door handles that actually have 3d structure as opposed to being textures on the door.

This is completely insane to me. Let the consumer decide if they want to spoil the movie or not -- don't leave the mission off the disc and rob them of the choice to play it (especially if they don't have Internet) based on the fear of spoilers. I'm not buying their explanation for shipping an incomplete product, but if they did leave the final mission off the disc for spoiler concerns, that's profoundly stupid.
  • Holy wowzers! Free, most likely crappy DLC that finally adds the ending to a $60 game that was already unforgivable crap? Imma go buy this RIGHT NOW!

  • SKYYYYYYYYYYYFAAAAAAAAAAALL (quietly it crept in and changed it all) If you get that reference, I'll love you forever.
  • With what the rest of the game's supposed to be like, I can't expect this to be that good. Would rather see the film instead, not as many glitches to sit through.

  • While it's actually neat for a movie tie-in game to hold spoilerish material until AFTER the movie itself comes out, this just seems like they shipped an unfinished game. I mean, the reviews for this are DREADFUL
  • I COULD play it, but I don't know why I would, considering the game is absolutely abysmal. An embarrassment, a tragedy, and a slap in the face to gamers who spent their money on it. It's a horrid, train wreck of a game. The type that was made by angry people set out to rip-off as many people as they could.

The type of game that nobody, anywhere, will remember in just a years time. It isn't even good enough for bargain bins. They'll have bins specifically designed for this game called "Trash Cans". You just throw your copy into it, curse Activision for actually having the balls to ask people to pay for this disgusting, shameful mess of pixels, and then walk away.

If there is one good thing that came from this game, it was that Activision was finally added to my "Do Not Buy List", in red ink. I had to add them after I played the game. They were already on my list for various previous terrible things they did to gamers, but now they are in red ink, which means that they won't ever see a single penny from me ever again. Being on the list in black ink means I won't buy your games anymore, unless I really like the developer and that developers game just happens to be published by Activision. When you're in red ink, you get nothing from me ever again.

You can now join THQ in the red ink, Activision, because the fact that you asked people to pay $60 for this...this...thing, is beyone forgivable. This game is so bad, so devoid of even basic common sense game design, that the fact that you're selling it for full priced makes you just flat out evil in my book. Hence the red ink.
  • skyfall movie is great!

  • Wii U?
  • ALRIGHT NEW 007

  • I can't believe a company would release a game incomplete. I mean there are the people that talk about DLC on disk and all that, but this was literally the end of the game that was left out as DLC.

  • okay
