Nintendo World Store Hosting Midnight Wii U Launch Event

Nintendo is hosting a midnight launch event for the Wii U at the Nintendo World Store at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime will be on hand, too. Fans waiting in line also receive "premium items" while supplies last, though what those items are exactly have not been detailed.

The Wii U goes on sale November 18.

No surprise there, after it's released, we will here nothing but Wii U stuff for at least the rest of the month, oh joy. Props to Nintendo, however, not going to get one. Maybe the Wii will drop more in price and I can get one of those. But, until then, I have my PS3 that I am perfectly fine with.

Nice... I'm actually a little bit excited to see this launch and then see its statistics in December. I'm wondering how many units of this will be sold compared to how many units of COD Black Ops 2 will be sold.

Too late for my sake, but kudos to any that can cherish that blissful night. I'm getting mine on that afternoon, probably (Don't flake out Best Buy!).
