New Mass Effect In Early Stages, BioWare Asks for Feedback

In September, BioWare revealed upcoming plans that included a brand new franchise as well as new Mass Effect title. Executive producer Casey Hudson wants to know what you'd like to see in it. "We're in early stages of designing a completely new Mass Effect game. What would you want to see in it,'" Hudson said on Twitter.

Now's your chance. Where should BioWare take the series next?

Comments
  • How about revisiting the theme of the first game, you know, exploring uncharted worlds with unknown dangers.
  • Mod
Focus on exploration/galaxy intrigue Along with that, bring back planetary exploration More open environments Bring all the good RPG stuff from ME 1 back Basically, just do ME 1 only better and more polished. Also, either make our choices actually matter or don't even have a morality system at all. Or just do whatever you guys want because it's your game you're making.
  • Borderlands 2-styled variations within each class. (For example: Maya's Cataclysm, Motion, and Harmony skill trees.)

  • Just keep being amazing. And maybe add a little more "Happy" to it. ^^

  • They should not listen to any of the "fans."  Ever.

Hey fanboys, all your ideas are terrible, get over it.

  • How about a new Jade Empire game??

For a new Mass Effect game I guess they can continue from the end of ME3 where the old guy says "One more story" but not about Shepard.

  • after the fall of the relays, the species have to band together and re populate the galaxy the old fashioned way. 50 years after me3 you are a scout for a new settlement on a jungle planet that is next in line to be recolonized. the wildlife would be the main opponent. the whole game would be about culling the wilderness to make room for a new human (oh and other) world. its been a long time since a game was about pioneering a new frontier.

  • M.M.O.

  • a customization character class were you get to chose all your powers and your race.

  • More exploration of planets - go back to your roots of customization options and weapon upgrades.  Build a bridge of ME1 exploration and a bit more customization than found in ME2.   I for one, enjoyed the Mako rides but it was a bit too open world.  ME3 seemed too linear and didn't quite hold the adventure that ME2 had.

  • Garrus and Tali as the stars.

  • I think it would be really cool for them to do something similar to Halo Reach. Not exactly a prequel, but basically a side story of soldiers that do behind enemy lines type of combat. I think it would be cool to have it first person, but Mass Effect should always stay 3rd person. I don't think an MMO would be a good idea though. There are just too many MMOs out there that are basically a rip off of another one with only 1 or 2 differences. But I'm sure whatever BioWare does I'm going to buy it lol

  • Keep the same combat as ME3. Let us be whatever race we want (within reason). Keep the choices, but make them a la ME3. Mostly, I just want to play as a Turian Infiltrator with the same capabilities as Shepard.

  • Keep everything they did in Mass Effect 3 and mabey add a freee roaming ability on words and stuff, instead of railed missions.

  • bring back micro-managing, and planet roaming
  • Commander Shepard.

    ^That's a must.

I would also treat the new game as an addition to the ME universe. What I mean is have a new perspective/story or whatever, but have it tie in and add something to the overall Mass Effect universe. I personally would keep ME as a tribute to humanity. I love the Action/RPG crossover and would keep it in that direction. Keep it single player based.

Bottom line: whatever you do, expand Mass Effect, do not change it.Keep it single player based.
  • Character creation would be rad!

The galaxy's next hero should be Volus!!!!!!

  • I want to see the super reapers. A race of hyper-intelligent machines that harness the universe of organic life every 5 million years.
  • If they put a lot of effort on exploring planets, and improved how they worked. I'd be happy. It could only be that. I'd be happy.

  • I would love to see a game set ten years after the war. I want to help put the galaxy back in order. Also, open up the species options as well.
