The lights are on
The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) announced it is now accepting submissions for the 16th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards.
Academy members can submit titles for consideration now through Monday, December 3, 2012, at 5:00 PM PST. Nominees are announced the week of January 21 with the winners on February 7, 2013 at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas.
"Unlike other video game award programs, the D.I.C.E. Awards are 100 percent peer-driven, peer-supported and peer-voted by active game makers from our 22,000-plus Academy membership," said AIAS president Martin Rae.
Previous Game of the Year winners include The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011), Mass Effect 2 (2010), Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (2009), and Little Big Planet (2008).

i'd probly say X-Com or Dishonered.
I wanna say Spec Ops if only because of that story, but I dunno.
I always think of Battlefield when I hear about this. My choice would either be Dishonored or Assassin's Creed III.
I dunno what I would think should be the winner, especially since I keep thinking about last year's games.
i think far cry 3 will be my favorite game of the year but need for speed most wanted, RE6 and borderlands 2 could earn it(although borderlands 2 has so many things in it that piss me off so much) halo 4 looks really good but i sadly havent been able to play it yet and black ops 2 looks pretty good but i doubt it should deserve a game of the year award, so in the end (unless the game turns out to be really broken) i will choose far cry 3 for my fav game.... did max payne 3 come out in 2012 or 2011? that was really good too
I'm interested to see if the whole ending controversy for Mass Effect 3 affect's the game's standing at all.
I'd choose ME3.
There are so many games this year. Mass Effect 3, Borderlands 2, Assassin's Creed 3, Halo 4, CoD: Black Ops II, Dishonored. Just because Mass Effect is my favorite series, i would have to choose that, but any game could win.
dishonored, halo 4 or AC3
I could see Halo 4 winning in a lot of categories.
The REAL VGAs.
Just be ya that X-COM's gonna win. That, or Halo 4.
Mass Effect 3 for the win
