The lights are on
UPDATE: The issue is now available on Mac/PC, iOS, and Android. Go get your copy!
The long wait is over at last. With the December issue, Grand Theft Auto V fans can pore over every detail we could get about Rockstar Games' highly anticipated sequel. Over the course of 18 pages (our biggest cover story yet!), we introduce the three main protagonists, discuss the groundbreaking way you use them, and explore the reimagined Los Santos – the biggest open world Rockstar has created to date. The massive feature also divulges and dissects many more aspects of the game fans won't want to miss.
In addition to our GTA V blowout, Joe Juba interviews Will Wright and others to tell the oral history of Maxis (celebrating its 25th anniversary this year), and takes the new SimCity for a spin. We also devote six pages to exploring the islands of Far Cry 3, discuss the impact of Cliff Bleszinksi leaving Epic Games, and share our top gift picks in the 2012 holiday buying guide. Check out the full covers below:

'A quick menu can be called up to switch characters, the camera pulls away into a Google Earth-style vantage point and then drops into wherever the chosen character is'. This is ridiculously exciting. GOTY 2013? Probably.
Show it plsss !!
GOTY 2013. Those are the only words that can describe my excitement for this game.
Well I guess it's time to subscribe to Gameinformer again.

That airplane in the sky has been in another art work.
Awesome, can't wait to read it :D
This release made my day, easily. I didn't realize I had to buy the digital version, too, I'm already subscribed to the print one so I guess I have to wait a bit longer. :(
Ugh. I don't want to switch my sub over to digital, since I love my shelf full of GI issues dating back to issue 77. But I can't wait two more weeks for the mag to come into my mailbox. D:
I'm very tempted to switch to the digital version just so I can read this now but I really enjoy flipping through the mag and reading it the "old-fashioned" way....is there an option to have both?
I can't get it for iPad, now i have to wait a day for it to get my subscription, WTF...
By the way, does this actually reveal much?
Holy... ***. Just read the magazine, this game blows my mind.
