Report: Assassin's Creed Anthology Coming

by Matthew Kato on Nov 07, 2012 at 03:01 AM

Update: Ubisoft has indeed confirmed the Anthology, but it says that currently it's only slated for release in Europe.

The collection comes out exclusively through Amazon's UK branch on November 30, and Joystiq talked to a Ubisoft representative who said that the Anthology was "exclusive for now." They also said that the set wasn't "currently" slated to come out here.

Given the fact that this story originated on the French Amazon site (the listing has now been taken down), seems to indicate that the current UK exclusivity is only temporary. Hopefully, that's a good sign that the Anthology will be announced for the U.S. at some point.

Original Story: The saga of the Assassins versus the Templars spans the ages, and it looks like you'll be able to re-live the entire struggle in the aptly named Assassin's Creed Anthology.

A Russian Assassin's Creed site has found an Amazon France listing of a five-game collection that includes Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and the newly released Assassin's Creed III. All the DLC for these games will be included in the Anthology, as well as lithographs for each of the titles, although it's unknown if that includes any as-yet-unreleased content for AC III.

Eurogamer says a Ubisoft representative has confirmed the existence of the collection, and that more details (hopefully including price, release date, etc.) will officially be revealed later this week.
