Bethesda 'Close' On PS3 Skyrim Content

by Jim Reilly on Nov 07, 2012 at 11:20 AM

After launching almost a year ago, Bethesda still hasn't released the first expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PlayStation 3. It appears the streak is coming to an end soon.

The official Twitter account for Bethesda Game Studios said, "We’re also close on new Skyrim content for PS3 and PC." Two expansion add-ons have already released on Xbox 360 and PC, Dawnguard and Hearthfire. Game Informer followed up with Bethesda for additional info and were told the Tweet is the company's only comment at this time.

Bethesda said in August it was still developing the content for PlayStation 3, but at the time no one was sure if it was going to happen due to technical issues. "This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content," the publisher said.

The third expansion, Dragonborn, releases first on Xbox 360 on December 4.
