The lights are on
Diablo III has sold over 10 million units to date, so of course Blizzard is looking to keep fans engaged. The publisher confirmed today it has an "expansion plan" for the game."We do have an expansion plan for [Diablo III]. I don’t have any timeline to talk about," Blizzard president Michael Morhaime said today on an investor call. "I think the most important thing for us always comes down to the quality of the expansion and the gamplay, so that will be a big factor in terms of driving our schedule."Blizzard released expansions for its previous Diablo games. Diablo II: Lord of Destruction released in 2000 and Diablo: Hellfire in 1997 from Sierra On-Line.
My gaming desktop is in sight, more than halfway there...Diablo 3 Collector's Edition has been on my desk unused for months...it's so close! And expansion!
Well duh.
sweet baby jesus! yes!
going to be so awesome, really exciting
Expansion plan: continue to reactively respond to fan complaints by adding in features that should've been present to begin with and try to add in content quickly enough to keep players occupied and distracted from the fact that the game is nowhere near what was expected or promised.
Two weeks of my life i cant get back and they want me to spend more? Unlikely.
Alas Diablo 3 was such a wreck it made me lose all respect for a company i once though infallible. They will never be receiving green pieces of paper from me again.
I REALLY LIKE DIABLO 3 SO GOOOOOOD!
There will be an expansion, but they're going to wait ten more years to release it to make sure people are still committed to the Diablo franchise.
