The lights are on
Halo 4's executive producer and impossibly cool last name owner Kiki Wolfkill said that taking Halo into genres outside of the first-person shooter is entirely possible. Wolfkill pointed to the live-action webs series Forward Unto Dawn as an example of how Halo could work outside of a shooter video game.
In an interview with CVG.com, Wolfkill explained the vast possibilities for the franchise. "Forward Unto Dawn allowed us to explore characters a little bit differently and tell a different kind of story – and that is interesting to us. We want Halo as a universe to grow and evolve and be a Star Wars... all the good parts about Star Wars!"
On our cover story trip for Halo 4, we spoke to Frank O'Connor about this exact possibility, including whether or not the team is interested in a sequel to Halo Wars. Watch the video below.
Wolfkill also said that 343 Industries considers itself not just a development studio, but an IP studio. You can check out the full interview by clicking here, and you can check out our Halo 4 review right here.

In other words: Microsoft wants to milk the rest of the media industry.
Halo The Journey ("Better" With Kinect)....Halo Dance Central....Halo All Stars Battle Royale....Halo Party....Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Halo Edition...Grand Theft Halo....New Super Halo U....Halo Kart...Pokemon RedVsBlue (with Master-Chief as the legendary Pokemon)...Halo vs Capcom...
These are all horrible ideas that I made up just to make myself laugh lol
That name puts all other last names to shame
Wait a second! What if they do a Halo racing game! I don't know about you but the Banshee, the Ghost, and the mongoose are mine! Dibs!
Halo Wars was awesome, I'd buy it if they make a sequal
Master Chief/Kiki Wolfkill 2012!
Here we go.
This should be interesting...
Jump into different genres?
Don't flame me for this but, what if the series was called....."Halo the Hedgehog"?
I could totally see a Halo title which focused on huge group battles like Battlefield or Battlefront, where the Covenant-side focuses on overwhelming and flushing the humans while the humans focus on stealth and group based tactics to defeat the covenant. But this could be applied to each different faction in the Halo universe, Pre-rebellion Covenant, Brute-lead Covenant, Storm Covenant, Flood, Prometheans, Forerunner robots, UNSC, Insurrectionists, and SPARTANS; all having unique traits which could be utilized to will a large battle conflict.
If they're honestly going to make another Halo Wars then please, for god's sake, make a PC version.
Yeah they tried that and found out it makes fanboys mad.
Halo Wars was a great game, but I feel like it should've been expanded more, and that they were afraid to jump to a new genre.
Make a sequel, and don't hold back.
Heck yes, I've been wanting a 3rd person and an RPG and/or BETTER RTS (*Cough* On PC, not just xbox *Cough*)
And I'm guessing that if they want it like star Wars they can be bought by disney too :) I'm just joking but sounds cool
I'd kill for a Halo RPG or MMO, as dorky as it sounds. The opening for Halo 4 was awesome, actually gave us a little insight on the UNSC and whatnot, made us remember that there's more out there than just killing aliens! Meaning there's a whole world to explore if a Halo RPG came out.
