Check Out Battlefield 3's Upcoming Epicenter Multiplayer Map

Epicenter is one of the new maps included in the upcoming Battlefield 3 DLC pack, Aftermath. If you couldn't tell by the screenshot above and the name of the DLC pack – there was an earthquake.

The video just offers a fly-through of new map, but you can all kinds of commentary on the map from level artist Pontus Ryman by heading to the Battlefield Blog.

Aftermath will be $14.99 and is set for release in December.

  • I need a map pack like this to get me to start playing BF3 again. I was really disappointed with Amored Kill. That gunner ship really killed all game types on those maps. They should have at least taken it away on Rush...... These maps look very inticing to get me back on the Battlefield!
  • Nice, I've been missing out lately on BF3, but after being burned by Medal of Honor: Warfighter, I think some more BF3 is just the remedy I need.
  • Wow... Just... why can't they come up with something unique? I'm tired of brown and gray desert/cities, give us a jungle or something...
  • Um. Interesting? Im glad that they showed off the map and all that but, haven't we seen this one in other trailers already? Meh. I liked the video, just curious to see more gameplay from different gametypes and stuff.
  • I haven't played a good FPS in a long time. It's a good thing I still have this game.
  • I'm excited about the new game mode where you have to FIND weapons in order to shoot people ( makes sence, right? ). This would probably be the best mode for infantry combat only in Battlefield 3. But to be honest, when I think about it, these kinds of awesome modes would have already been in the game if DICE gave us the developer kit aka the modding tools. But of course this is not going to happen untill the release of Battlefield 4 because otherwise EA wouldn't get so much money out of the customer for buying the DLC packs or Premium. I mean... Gun Game, Gun Master or call it whatever you want ( I even forgot the name for it in BF3) would have been there within 2 weeks after launch if there were modding tools available which means that we would have got these things for free ( at least on PC). To wrap it up: I'm happy about this DLC but I'm not happy about the money EA charges for it when other game companies give it us basically for free when they allow the community to get their hands on the developing tools. It's so bizarre considering that the Battlefield mod 'Desert Storm' actually helped creating one of the best games of all time: Battlefield 2. Without modding tools in the first Battlefields, the series wouldn't have come THAT far and now EA just doesn't give them to us because we wouldn't spend so much money on overpriced DLC anymore.
  • Can't wait for this. Uhhhh.... What would be the combined file size for Close Quarters and Armored Kill? I don't have Premium yet but I want to get it in a few days.... but I'm afraid of how long it will take to download both packs.
  • Yay, right? Hopefully they have some fun assignments.

  • looks cool, seems to have good variety like metro. Inside and outside fighting. Love it so far. Although i can see a lot of flying onto random sky scrapers for vantage points for snipers. If thats the case.. at least on console i can see this map being pretty dead in terms of actual fighting.
  • other desert map, owells,

  • I hope you can die from the falling degree. That would make it awesome!
  • Wish i had a good pc to run bf3 on.

  • I will get this if the earthquakes happen right in the middle of the match or as the match advances. And also if the terrain changes with the earthquakes. But either way, this looks awesome!
  • Really cool background music to that video should have been "Hurt", the remake by Johnny Cash or the original by Nine Inch Nails! :)
  • Nice look to it. Wonder how interactive it'll be, though.

  • "There's been a massive earthquake here. Should we do something to help the survivors?" "Nah, lets just keep shooting each other." Looks pretty fun nonetheless.
  • This is pretty fantastic looking.

  • Nice map. But with all those buildings and ledgings spell "Sniperville."
