by Kyle Hilliard on Oct 30, 2012 at 03:19 PM

Call of Duty and Guitar Hero are both currently experiencing online multiplayer issues thanks to Hurricane Sandy. Activision houses some if its data centers in New York City, where Hurricane Sandy has done a lot of damage. Currently all version of Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the PlayStation 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops on PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii, and all of the Guitar Hero games are experiencing online problems.

Word of the issues comes from Activision spokesperson Dan Amrich's blog. Here's what he has to say about the servers getting back to normal:

"Activision is working on restoring full functionality as soon as possible, but I don’t know when that will be. Your patience while they deal with the storm’s effects is appreciated."
