The lights are on
Square Enix said today an Android version of the classic role-playing game Chrono Trigger is now available. This version costs $9.99 on Google Play and contains the extra content featured in the Nintendo DS re-release.
Snes9x for android. that is all.
you know, its about time they started re-releasing this game on something other than Nintendo DS. Glad to see it as a virtual download for pretty much every console and device now. The creator claimed "If fans want Chrono 3, they should BUY MORE" back when the only way we could find it was to get a DS. Silly creator...no one from the mid-90s era of gaming plays DS...
While I am glad that this game is coming to so many platforms, I can't help but feel as if Square has run out of ideas and is simply living off of what made it great 15-20 years ago. Pretty soon we'll be receiving the Final Fantasy XIII-4 nobody asked for and Chrono Break will be just a memory of what could have been.
Chrono Trigger on SNES is THE best video game ever made, hands down, bar none. To anyone who disagrees with that statement: do not let me find out where you live, because I _WILL_ take a dump on your front porch in the middle of the night.
More ways to play Chrono Trigger is always a good thing. I just wish they would make another game already.
Thought about it, but the reviews look terrible, so I'm not so sure now.
Interesting, but I do have it on too many platforms at this point.
Great game. I have found memories playing it when it was originally released. I will say that $9.99 is kind of expensive for a game which you can already get for free on your phone.
Great another Chrono Trigger port. Why don't they just make a sequel to Chrono Trigger/Cross, I bet more people are dying to play that. I already have Chrono Trigger on my SNES, Playstation, iPhone, and my DS.
Warning: as of 10-30-2012 this does not work on the Asus Transformer Models. Hopefully they will fix it because I would like to buy it again.
Any news on Final Fantasy Dimensions? I'm still flabbergasted that all their PR said it was supposed to release on Android at the same time as iOS, and yet it never came out and they've provided zero information.
At least the Chrono Trigger release suggests they're not ignoring Android entirely.
Not sure how I would play this on a phone, but pretty cool for those who do that!
Never played this.
