Need For Speed: Most Wanted Headed To Wii U

It's not particularly surprising to hear that EA and Criterion's Need for Speed: Most Wanted is coming to Wii U, but it's always nice to get a solid confirmation. We liked the game quite a bit, so we're excited to see how Nintendo's dual screen can set up can tweak the experience.

Unfortunately, it won't be out in time for the launch of the system next month. A representative from EA told Polygon that, "In 2013, Nintendo fans will be able to experience what it means to be Most Wanted amongst their friends on the Wii U."

YES! I've been wanting to get this. I hate playing racers on the Ps3. Its probably a better choice on the Wii U for me.

I just hope they don't make it require origin. Origin on consoles is nothing but extra baggage.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted on the ps2 was great. I remember leading the police to the beach area and there was this glitch where they would go in the water and the car would drown.

Edit: I think it was Most Wanted, not sure.

I like the idea but I'm not entirely sure if It'll be a nice fit for the Wii U. I'll just have to find out if I get one.

As happy as I am to see this heading to the Wii U, I still wish they'd just let Criterion make the superior Burnout games they were known for.

Nope. No surprise at all. Seems like it'd be a nice fit for the Wii U gamepad. Except for Mario Kart, the Wii hadn't had much in the name of racing.

It'll be nice if Nintendo released another pro controller with analog triggers.Digital triggers are amazing for shooters but not so much for racing games.

I'm actually really excited for this. I haven't bought a NFS game in a long time, not to mention any other racing game. I got the demo on PS3 and it was just awesome (until my cop smashing session was abruptly cut short). I'm definitely gonna pick this up next year. Love all the titles coming out for this thing. Only three days!!!
