Mass Effect Movie Lands New Scribe

by Andrew Reiner on Oct 24, 2012 at 06:50 PM

Mass Effect's potential move to the silver screen is now in the hands of Morgan Davis Foehl, a writer who Variety reports hasn't had a screenplay produced, but served as the assistant editor of FX's Rescue Me, and the film I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Foehl replaces Mark Protosevich (Thor, I Am Legend), who penned the first version of the script.

Foehl is said to be a Mass Effect fan, so there's that. Casey Hudson, the director of the Mass Effect games, is listed as an executive producer.

Legendary Entertainment obtained the screen rights to Mass Effect in 2008, but has yet to put a release date on the film.
