The lights are on
Momentum continues to make Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed film inevitable. The motion picture wing of the video game publisher has just announced a deal with film production company New Regency.
Michael Fassbender has already signed on as the lead for the movie, and Ubisoft says that work is beginning on the screenplay.
No release date/timeframe for the film has been officially announced.

intresting
I think he could fit the part well. Definitely keeping an eye out on this.
I love you Fassbender
I hope they do an original story in the same universe, possibly the story of Subject 16.
Cool, I;m excited for this movie. I think Fassbender could make a good Altair or Desmond; he's definitely got the combat experience (300, Haywire, Legion) to be Altair but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Sweeeet!
Hopefully this is a good video game movie.
As a Fassbender/AC dual fanboy, this is extremely good news for me. So he's playing Ezio or Desmond? Surely not Altaïr... Good luck adapting the plot into a coherent 2 hour movie
Hopefully this will be good
Was pretty surprised when I heard Fassbender was involved, he's a quality actor and this film could turn out ok. It was important they kept creative control too, I reckon the film could bring in a wider audience too, interesting concept with the Animus etc. and if they can gather a great cast
I'd still love to see a Metroid movie loosely based on the trilogy going from Prime to Corruption.
