Outlast: A New Survival-Horror Game

by Jim Reilly on Oct 17, 2012 at 06:42 AM

Montreal-based Red Barrels Games is a newly-formed studio founded by industry veterans. Their mission? To create "unforgettable single-player games." Some of the projects the developers worked on over the years include: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry 3, and Splinter Cell: Conviction. Head over to the official website to see the full staff list.

The team's first game, Outlast, is a new survival-horror game set for release on PC in summer 2013. “There are already a lot of great games out there about terrifying monsters that eat brains; we want Outlast’s to be scary because you’ll know the enemies you face still have them,” said co-founder Philippe Morin.
