The lights are on
Director Guillermo Del Toro says his recently canceled project with THQ 'Insane' is seeking a new development partner. "We are talking to developers," Del Toro said to Kotaku at the New York Comic Con. "When something doesn't happen one way I just continue pursuing it another if I own the property and control it.
"I'm not giving up on Insane."
Del Toro also said Ellen McClain, the voice of GLaDOS from the Portal series, plays the voice of an AI in his next film, Pacific Rim.
I hope this games gets to see the light of day.
Well it's nice to see this game isn't QUITE dead yet. I really hope they find a capable developer, Del Toro has fantastic vision with whatever he works on.
This is great news, at least the game didn't get scrapped since Del Toro apparently owns the IP. Del Toro has such a unique visual style and feel to his films that I'm really really looking forward to this game, so fingers crossed that it works out
We've been waiting. Someone has to take it.
If their recent track record on publishing is to be believed, I wouldn't be surprised to see Square Enix pick up this one.
I can't wait to see who picks this project up.
At least he taking the reins on this project and not sitting back letting the developer change his vision to suit their ideas.
Del toro makes me happy. Although I think I want hell boy more. Supposed to release this year....what gives
GLaDOS' actor in a Del Toro film? I'll go.
Someone please, please pick this up. If he really doesn't want to give up on it, there must be something worthwhile there. I need to see what his vision for this is.
I was actually looking forward to a Volition-developed horror game. Or anything, really, from them that ISN'T Saints Row (god I hate that dumb franchise).
Wonder who'll end up dev'ing this now?
*waves* HEY! PICK ME!
Sounds totally INSANE!
Nintendo go have a talk with Mr. Del Toro.
That would be awesome Miyamoto and Del Toro working together. That thought right there just blows my mind.
