The lights are on
Update: Ubisoft today confirmed details for the Assassin's Creed season pass. It includes five download content packs, including “The Tyranny of King George” single-player episodic campaign.
The Tyranny of King George spans three of the content packs episodically where players experience an alternate history of the events following the American Revolution.
Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the greatest hero of the revolution, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land our new hero must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.
The other two DLC includes new maps and characters for multiplayer.
The season pass costs 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox live or $29.99 on PSN and PC, and is available within the first six month of the game's release. Ubisoft says the season pass offers a 25% discount if the content was purchased individually.

Original Story: A new trend over the past year in gaming sees publishers selling promises of download content to consumers at a reduced price. It's been confirmed one of this year's biggest titles, Assassin's Creed III, will have a "season pass" of download content as well.
We don't have any details just yet. An update on the PlayStation blog confirms the existence of a season pass through a pre-order listing for the Assassin’s Creed III Gold Edition on PlayStation Network. The retail price for the regular game is $59.99 and the Gold Edition, which includes the Season Pass, costs $89.99, suggesting the Season Pass costs the traditional $29.99 when sold separately.
Ubisoft would not comment any further on the season pass. When asked for additional details, a spokesperson told Game Informer, "We have no further details at this time but stay tuned."
Assassin's Creed III is out October 30 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The PC version releases November 20, and the Wii U version launches with the console on November 18.

I'm paying good money for the limited edition, the season pass should be a given. Even for regular copies the online pass is a ridiculous trend to withhold content from some players, and charging those who can't stand to wait. Still looking forward to AC3 though, hopefully not much is going on with school that week.
lets hope that whatever the dlc is going to be, will be worth that 30 dollars
Never bought a season pass before, but with AC being my favourite game series I may have to change that. So long as it's mostly content for the single player (which I heard it is) then i'm in.
Of course!
I just love that for the dramatic Bison turn, not the DLC. Sorry, I'm not dropping $90 on a game.
If its a EA game you can bet your butt it will have a S.P
I personally dont mind purchasing season passes for any game that I enjoy. The reason is because a majority of the time I will not have the money the day that a new DLC package is released for any game. The season pass allows me to purchase all the DLC at once when I can afford it.
I pre-ordered AC3 at my local GameStop for PS3 and I got the "The Lost Mayan Ruins" mission with it. So in a way I already have a peice of DLC and it was free!!
If the season pass is 30$ then there must a hefty amount of dlc so as to make the season pass cheaper. What I mean is that to make the season pass cost less than individually buying the dlcs there must be a lot of dlc to make 30$ significantly less than the alternate route.
I pre ordered already so we'll see if I want the season pass or not.
I'll wait for the GOTY steam sale thanks
I was somewhat dreading this....that said, should the DLC be fulfilling it would be a nice investment.
Singleplayer DLC is always welcome. If it's a couple of hats in Mp, I'll punch something. Or someone. Stay away.
I am never buying a season pass again. I never feel like I get my moneys worth with the DLC that gets released for such games.
That won't stop me from buying it.
Season Passes never last... most people stop playing the game after a couple of months. Also, I don't know anyone who bought the season pass for Uncharted III, so I won't buy this
Never buying another piece of DLC again from Ubisoft after they admitted to removing content from finished games to sell as DLC. This is EXACTLY what ll publishers claim they don't do, when they actually regularly do it. There are very few companies I trust with DLC.
Valve
Gearbox
Bethesda
And that's about it. Everyone else can suck it. If I pay for your game once, that is all you are getting. I'm not going crazy over pre-order bonuses. I'm not going to pay for your stupid online pass if I decide to buy your old games used. I am not going to pay for your subscriptions. I am not going to pay for your DLC. I am NOT going to pay for your micro transactions in your PAID games that I just dropped $60 for.
You're lucky I buy your games at all, keep pushing me and I'll stop that too.
Heavy sigh.
a game that i dont really care for and this is coming from someone who owns all of them...
