The lights are on
When EA announced the Mass Effect Trilogy last week, the publisher left out one important detail about whether or not the DLC from the series would be included. The question has (mostly) been answered in an updated FAQ on EA's official website.
Here's what the publisher had to say:
What DLC is included in the Mass Effect Trilogy?
EA also says the first Mass Effect for PlayStation 3 is available digitally for $14.99 when the collection launches on that platform. An official date for PS3 has not been announced, however. The collection launches on November 6 for Xbox 360 and PC.

I think all 3 games in general for $60 is worth it; DLCs or not. I do, however think it's odd that different systems are getting different perks for DLCs. On the 360, about 1/2 of the DLCs are free anyway (except the big ones)
And this is why I hate EA. You know Bioware wanted to include all of the DLC, but EA is just obsessed with money more than catering to the fan base. What would have been wrong with including all of the essential DLC at the least? I could understand not having to pay for Overlord, but at least give them Shadow Broker and Arrival for free. I am done with these guys. The only thing I'm ever buying from them is Mass Effect, and that is purely for and loyalty to Bioware.
*Sigh* I was really hoping this collection would include the relevant DLC and not the ungermane add-ons. I still might pick it up though as Mass Effect looks much better on PC and I have the games currently on the 360.
I think I'm just gonna stick to getting Mass Effect + DLC for PS3. Considering I already have ME2 and ME3 with all the available DLC purchased. It will be nice to go through without using the interactive backstory. =]
Hm. I have 2 and 3 on PS3. I'd like to play the first game, but I think I've had my fill of Mass Effect for a long while. Maybe eventually...
Bad move EA. People expect all the DLC included in a collection. The only game that should have missing DLC is Mass Effect 3 and only if DLC for it is released once this reaches the certification stage. And how come PC gets Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station while Xbox360 doesn't. This is a very strange move, the PS3 edition of Mass Effect 2 has more post-launch DLC included then this collection does. They only put a tiny bit of effort into this collection, and only on the PC version.
At least EA did made one smart choice. Releasing the original Mass Effect on PSN on it's own, so the people who picked up 2 and 3 won't have to buy the collection just for 1.
"Information on PlayStation 3 DLC will be available soon."...
WOW the PC version lacks A LOOOOOOOOT OF DLC LMFAO!!! This is a treat for PS3 gamers definitely not made with PC/360 gamers in mind
Really EA? You released Battlefield 3 Premium Edition 3 months after the Battlefield Premium Content for $60, but won't include all that little Mass Effect 3 DLC into the trilogy package? You guys are abusing capitalism and bussiness. At least you guys are doing right with Medal of Honor: Warfighter by including bonuses.
Uncool.
Missed opportunity here
What a ripoff, no way I'm buying this. EA is really a terrible company, don't feed the greed.
So GI is stating that we ARE getting Mass Effect 1? I don't believe it 1 bit.
Eh...Seems like kind of a cheap move to not include any of the significant DLC for ME2 such as Shadow Broker and Arrival. I can see why they wouldn't include Leviathan for ME3 since it didn't come out that long ago.
Also, to be fair, all three games are great on their own even without DLC. However, this still feels like a slap in the face to fans looking for a complete package since it looks like even after shelling out for the collection they'll still have to buy another 20-30 bucks worth of DLC.
"Information on PlayStation 3 DLC will be available soon"
Ehhh... whatever.
