Tekken Producer Championing Project X Zone For North American Release

Katsuhiro Harada, a producer for the Tekken series, tweeted recently that as long as he keeps pushing, there is a good chance Project X Zone could come stateside.

In response to a fan professing excitement over a Tweet from Harada where he said, "I proposed localization of Project X Zone," Harada said "[Project X Zone for North America has not been] decided yet, but It will be realized if I continue proposing."

Project X Zone is an upcoming Japanese 3DS strategy game that feature tons of Namco Bandai, Capcom, and Sega characters all going to head to head. There hasn't been much talk of the game coming to North America, but I would be surprised if it didn't make it over here eventually. You can check out some previously released footage of the game below.

  • "strategy game that feature tons" Kyle doing what he does.
  • I'd buy it in a heartbeat, Dot Hack, Mega Man, and Tekken in the same game, yes please.
  • Thats great!

  • Why do people bother posting comments that won't even be on the first page? No one will see it, nor reply to it. So what's the point. I could go on and on all day on why there'e no point in posting after the first page, but who cares? Not you, not me, not anyone - because no ones going to see this damn post anyway! *** you, *** me, AND *** AMERICA! THATS RIGHT, I SAID IT! *** AMERICA! MAN IT FEELS GOOD TO JUST LET IT OUT! I've been in this God awful shithole for 50 something years, and I'm pretty damn sick of it! We should all go to DC and just pull are pants down! That'll show those capitalist bastards! HAHAHA . In fact, I'm going to American airlines right now and booking my flight! Anyone else who wants to join me is welcome. Have a nice ignorant *** day people! SEE YOU IN DC ASSHOLES HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
  • I would buy it day one... If I had a 3DS.

  • Id so buy it if it came out in the state side.

  • Keep on proposing Harada. Still, I can see why they wouldn't consider bringing it over, the Japanesse actually give a damn about handheld games while most folks over here don't.

  • The DSi and 3DS are a waste of money and the two systems I never have and never will consider purchasing...so unfortunately it seems I'll be missing out on this if it comes to the US.

  • i might just have to get this game.I mean it does look cool to play and i guess if you get the moves downpacked then you can really whip some ass soooo....sounds good to me. p.s dam i forgot i dont have a 3ds.Anybody selling theirs?
  • This is good news.

  • this game needs to come stateside, if only for a decent representation of Mega Man

  • I just wish Phoenix was in it. :P maybe he's just an unrevealed one or something.

  • This will be the game that would make me get a 3DS, I am a huge fan of crossover RPGs.

  • They said Sega, but there is no hedgehog in that picture. Weird.

  • I would definitely be interested in this game although there is about 5 characters I know from this game. Regardless, the gameplay looks awesome, if this game comes to the US I will buy it.

  • so sooo cool make it happen and bring monster hunter 4 to north america also while your at it

  • Thank you Mr. Harada!

I was never happy that Namco X Capcom passed us by, without any official word why. From Namco Bandai OR Capcom. Sure, I'd imagine DS exclusive RPGs/Strategy games don't sell the best out here - since in the West, handhelds are seen mostly as 2nd tier systems -, but if there's a market for it (and you know there is), you can make money off it. AND us gamers will get a good game! I'm really hoping we get this one then.

Thanks for fighting the good fight for us! Namco, Sega, Capcom - I will buy this if you localize it! I want you to know that. Been waiting for a 3DS RPG since launch. The DS had LOADS of classics; like the PS2, PSX and SNES before it, every RPG that touched the system seemed to be amazingly well produced (relatively speaking) and well made. It is moronic that people passed up classics like Radiant Historia, Dragon Quest IX, and Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of Light. But it's much dumber that NOTHING GOOD in that genre has hit the 3DS yet. I want Project X Zone!

    ...
AND Bravely Default. If you're listening too, Square-Enix. Change the name before localizing though; "Bravely Default: Flying Fairy" is pretty bad. One of the worst names you've come up with in recent times, and that's saying something since you thought Birth By Sleep, Dream Drop Distance and Theatrhythm were all good titles. Do the old Game Boy trick of taking a non-FF game and slapping the "Final Fantasy" name on it (like publishing Seiken Densetsu as Final Fantasy Adventure, or Saga as Final Fantasy Legend). "Final Fantasy Destiny" - there, there's your new name for Bravely Default. It has Jobs, it has Crystals, it has Airships... no one will not know that it isn't a *real* Final Fantasy title. Just bring it over here! It looks AMAZING

And Level 5iA, I know you're busy localizing Ninokuni, Liberation Maiden and probably 2-3 Professor Layton games, but Fantasy Life should ALSO be on your plate. That 3DS RPG also looks awesome and super fun.
  • I hope they bring this to the states, it looks like it'd be fun.
  • It looks like fun. Hopefully it makes its way over here.

  • I really hope they do. I think this games looks awesome and would love to play it in english.
