Final Fantasy III Heading To The PlayStation Network

Final Fantasy III, with a few three-dimensional upgrades, is coming to to the PlayStation Network next week.

The PlayStation Network has had a nearly complete collection of Final Fantasy games for quite some time, with three being noticeably absent. That changes on Tuesday September, 25 when the game will be made available to download and playable for the PSP.

  • This is getting downloaded in a heartbeat.
  • Totally awesome I just hope it doesn't require a large amount of memory
  • For the PSP? Why?
  • Mod
YAY! I just really hope it will work on Vita too, but I think it probably will because I'm a glass half full kinda guy(and because I think pretty much all PSP games do, if you add them manually, of course I am often wrong).
  • Why is the only FF game Square constantly remakes?
  • This is awesome news. Final Fnatasy III is also a launch title for the Ouya, but I don't see that working out too well now.

  • YYYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and after I beat it on iOS.  I'll probably buy it again because this sounds like the best version and I loved the game.

  • May just buy it

  • So is it the DS version that's being ported?
  • This is exciting. If only I still owned a PSP. Great game though.

  • Will be buying a Vita when FFX details are finally announced. After that, I'll buy all FF games (many for the 2nd or 3rd time) and be happy.

  • Okay I'm confuesed.Is this THE FF3 or is it FF6?
  • Meh not the greatest ff missing from psn

  • This is great.

  • dub

  • Great!.. now only if we can get Final fantasy X-HD and FF X II

uploaded to PSN for the PSP/PSP Vita! then our collection will be near caught up to the PS3.

  • Very cool! Wish it came out on UMD, but I dig it this way too :P

Sony still giving us reasons to dig out our PSPs (which I still do pretty often).

  • I've never used the PS3 Network, but this sounds like a good reason to do so.
