The lights are on
The first issue of IDW Publishing's Borderlands: Origins limited comic book series released on Tuesday. The digital edition is currently free to read on IDW's website. This story is written by Gearbox Software's own Mikey Neumann with art by Agustin Padilla, and tells the story of how Roland, Mordecai, Brick, and Lilith ended up on a bus together.
You can read the first issue right here.
Email the author Andrew Reiner, or follow on Twitter, Facebook, and Game Informer.
I saw this on Reiner's twitter feed, I immediately read it and it was great. More games need to make comics to set up the storyline, Max Payne 3 certainly did a great job with that as well.
Seems like there could be room for more of their golden humor! Unfortunately I have to add Borderlands 2 to my backlog this year. :(
Comic book adaptions of video games is always nice! Can't wait to see the rest of the issues coming out soon.

Free is always nice. I'll give this a read.
