Warner Bros. Bringing Back Midway Classics

Warner Bros. has announced that it is bringing more than 30 Midway arcade classics to one action-packed disc. Midway Arcade Origins will be available for PS3 and Xbox 360 this holiday season for $29.99.

The collection features titles like Defender, Spy Hunter, Joust, Gauntlet, Rampage, Marble Madness, and more. Apart from bringing together these much-loved titles, Origins also supports PS3 trophy and 360 achievements, 4-player local multiplayer (when applicable), and online scoreboards.

  • haha old times right here

  • Nice

  • Nostalgia?  There you are; I've been looking for you everywhere.  Oh, and you brought a giant ape who smashes cities, how thoughtful.

  • wouldn't it be great if every game came with it's own trophies. That'd be trophy overkill

  • 30 bucks for 30 games...

I remember spending more than that on most of these in the arcades!

    Thank you, Warner Bros.!

  • Guess I'll have to rebuy this. Collection 2 was good to. Lots of good bonus content like interviews and cabinet art. I hate that so many of my original xbox games aren't compatible. They should rerelease Shaolin Monks, maybe with live support.
  • Red warrior needs food badly!
  • RAMPAGE!!!!! OMG that game was so fun back in the day! lol This should be good!

  • YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! GAUNTLET AND RAMPAGE ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • This is freaking awesome!

  • No online multiplayer?   Come on man!

  • I hope NARC is part of this collection.
  • this just sounds like the midway arcade treasure thing that came out not too long ago on PS2 with all the Mortal Kombats and old school stuff...

  • This sounds fine but all of these are available now in one form or another.

  • This could be really cool but it could really suck. I would need to see the full game list before I buy. But that being said... I love me some Rampage and Gauntlet!

  • Nice.

  • WARRIOR NEEDS FOOD! BADLY!!!
  • Don't they have the tech to release literally every classic arcade game ever made from that era on one disc?  Let's do that!  The publishers need to have a roundtable about this if they still exist.  Also, Thief 4 NOW (I realize it has nothing to do with Midway, I just love the Thief games)

  • Spy Hunter, Rampage, Marble Madness?  Sold.
