Mass Effect 3 Omega DLC Confirmed

BioWare confirmed plans to release more single-player download content for Mass Effect 3. The 'Omega' content launches this fall. The developer says expect even more single and multi-player content over the next six months.

BioWare also confirmed plans to develop another full Mass Effect title, though no details about the project were revealed at this time.

  • I'm hoping for either a sequel that takes place a long time after 3 or some sort of prequel. Revisiting the events of the trilogy from another perspective wouldn't be great, since we already know how it ends.
  • Time to get omega backup. After freeing it, of course. Then I expect aria's blue *** in bed with me.
  • Let the milking begin !
  • What? Borderlands 2? Yeah I'm playing that already.
  • Yes! I just played the Leviathan DLC last weekend and I thought that it was amazing. Personally, I welcome any addition to the main body of ME3 story's. Despite the strange ending the first time around, the majority of the content was amazing and I can't wait for more!
  • Sounds good. Maybe they could go the God of War route and make a prequel. It could be with Anderson as the main character to mix things up, and at the end he could meet Shepard like in the first game or something maybe... 0_o

Sweet, I can always use more SP Mass Effect, and MP is nice too.

  • That's good to hear... I just hope that there's anything that would improve my story as Shepard rather than an extra long mission. Something about the Illusive Man or the Reapers hiding in there sounds ideal.

  • The DLC everyone wanted. I'm down for it. Just hope Omega becomes another HUB world after the DLC. Always had a blast talking to people in Omega.

  • We all knew that ME3 wouldn't be the last game set in the Mass Effect universe, as Casey Hudson said previously, but I'm glad that it's being discussed again. On another note, Leviathan was really good, so hopefully Omega won't break the pattern.
  • That's good news indeed. More Mass Effect is always welcome.

  • Mr brother should be happy o3o

  • I'd like some MP DLC that doesn't require extreme amounts of grinding and hoping you'll get what you want. Don't suppose they've got that in the plans, aye?
  • I really don't know where they would go with a new Mass Effect. Obviously a direct sequel is pretty much out of the question, but the thing about a prequel is that all the lore is already established, so choice-based gameplay would be hard to implement. And ME without choices isn't ME at all.
  • Yay! I've been waiting for this. Also, NOVEMBER COVER CONFIRMED: ME4
  • I'm a HUGE fan of Mass Effect, and one of the biggest you'll ever meet! I adored Mass Effect (all 3, and is on current playthrough of 3rd for 7th time) but I seriously hope they don't go making Mass Effect 4... I mean for gods sake you can't go much further with their current ending. But I guess I could be okay with a prequel, better be about the Krogan Wars and the main character a Krogan!
  • I think a prequel involving the First Contact War would be cool. But if they want to put it sometime in the future, that'll be just fine as well.
  • I wonder if the next Mass Effect is going to take place anytime afterwards ME3, or if it'll be during the First Contact wars or something historical like that.

Sweet, you go Bioware. This is actually much desired DLC as I know a lot of fans (including myself) who found the Omega situation interesting. Imagine fighting reapers in Aria's club. Also, another Mass Effect? GIMME.
  • all take all the mass effect i can get
